Welcome to Broadhembury C of E Primary School
Nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside, Broadhembury Church of England Primary School is a small and thriving village school for children aged 4 to 11. Our rural setting provides a rich and inspiring environment for learning, where children can explore, discover and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
As a close-knit school community, we are proud to offer a nurturing and supportive atmosphere in which every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Our well-equipped learning spaces and broad curriculum provide opportunities for children to develop confidence, curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
Our Christian vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by dignity, integrity, empathy, curiosity, creativity and perseverance, we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where children feel happy, secure, and ready to learn. We encourage our pupils to think independently, make thoughtful decisions and develop the knowledge and skills they need to flourish in an ever-changing world.
We place great importance on helping children grow not only academically, but also spiritually, morally, socially and emotionally. Through strong relationships, high expectations, and a caring ethos, we aim to foster respect, tolerance and compassion for others.
We are proud of our strong links with our parish church and the wider community, which enrich school life and provide meaningful opportunities for worship, celebration, and service throughout the year.
We hope our website gives you a glimpse into life at Broadhembury and all that makes our school such a special place to learn, grow and belong. We look forward to welcoming you.
